Dysart clinic provides state-required vaccines

Arizona sixth-grade students are required to have the Tdap and meningococcal vaccines.
The Dysart Unified School District provides free immunizations to students through the Dysart Immunization Clinic.
The Dysart Immunization Clinic is at Countryside Elementary School, 15034 N. Parkview Place in Surprise.
The immunization office is open from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and can be reached by calling 623-876-7944.
Required student immunizations include: DTAP/DTP (diptheria, tetanus and pertussis), IPV/OPV (polio), MMR (measles, mumps and rubella), hepatitis B, varicella (chicken pox vaccine or history of disease, a requirement at some grade levels), in addition to the Tdap and meningococcal requirements for incoming sixth-graders.
Students may also receive free immunizations at an event provided by the Maricopa County Department of Public Health from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Aug. 2. The Maricopa County event will be at various locations throughout the Phoenix area.
