Sunrise Mountain squads lead cheer clinic
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The Sunrise Mountain JV and Varsity cheer squads will have a cheer clinic at the school from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 26 at Sunrise Mountain High School, 21200 N. 83rd Ave. in Peoria.
The clinic costs $15 per participant and focuses on teaching cheers, dances, jumps and stunts. It is designed for beginners or more advanced girls.
"This is a great way for girls to gain confidence, work with our award-winning cheer squad and learn on a more personal level," said Whitney Vining, Varsity cheer coach at Sunrise Mountain. "We have a great group of cheerleaders who are excited about working with the younger girls in the community."
Walk-ins are welcome the day of the clinic as long as the proper forms are completed and there is still availability. Registration for the clinic is to be made in advance by calling Kris Friedman at 623-203-8036.
