Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex earns national recognition
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex received national recognition by the United States Tennis Association as the recipient of the 2008 USTA Outstanding Facility Award.
The Community and Recreation Services Department will be awarded this honor Sept. 1 at the USTA semi-annual meeting in New York City.
"We are extremely proud to receive this award and honored to be recognized amongst the top facilities in the nation," said Mark Coronado, director of Community and Recreation Services. "The vision and leadership of the Surprise City Council and city management have served up a first-class facility for the residents of Surprise."
The USTA is the national governing body for the sport of tennis in the United States, who are committed to developing and promoting the growth of tennis. The Outstanding Facility Award Program was established to stimulate high standards in tennis facilities and to recognize those facilities whose efforts make a positive statement about the vitality of the game.
