Registered voters can vote at the Glendale Adult Center, 5970 W. Brown St., 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday through Aug. 29.

Voters can avoid long lines on Election Day, Sept. 2, which is the primary election for federal, state and county offices, in addition to being the election for Glendale residents to cast their votes for mayor and council seats for the Cactus, Sahuaro and Yucca districts.

In addition, voters will decide on Proposition 404, Better Ballot Glendale. To get informed on this proposition, residents can download the informational pamphlet at www.glendaleaz.com/clerk/documents/08Pub_pamphlet.pdf.

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 2.

Those who choose to wait until Sept. 2 must provide approved identification as required by recent legislation. Polling place can be located from the Maricopa County Elections Web site, http://recorder.maricopa.gov/pollingplace05/pollingplace.aspx.

Another option for voters is the early mail-in ballot. Early ballot requests can be taken by phone through Aug. 22 at 602-506-1511 or 623-930-2296.

For information, visit www.glendaleaz.com/clerk or call 623-930-2252.
